About the Project
Introduction
Hindi has gained importance as a communicative language in India. Hindi continued to be used in religious travel and in the fields of trade and Commerce in the freedom movement, Hindi became the symbol of national pride and the medium of expression for Indians. During independence, it was decided that the work of Hindi propaganda should be started in South India also. This propaganda work started from 1918.
Propaganda of Hindi started in the Telugu speaking states for the last 100 years. Telugu speakers learned Hindi. Initially Hindi was the communicative language. Now Telugu speaking people also started doing creative work in Hindi after learning Hindi. Along with this, many works have also been translated from Telugu to Hindi language.
By the 6th decade, many universities were established in the Telugu speaking regions. Comparative research work related to Hindi Telugu also started in the universities of Telugu speaking states. This area has become important from the point of view of research in Indian comparative literature studies and translation studies. Therefore, it has become necessary today to introduce Hindi literature of Telugu speaking and literature translated from Telugu to Hindi.
Utility of the proposed project.
The goal of the present research project is to introduce Hindi works of Telugu litterateurs and to introduce translations from Telugu to Hindi by Telugu-speaking Hindi translators. This work will prove to be very important for Telugu speaking Hindi students or research scholars who are studying or pursuing research at the university level. The researcher who is interested in working in the field of comparative literature, especially Hindi and Telugu languages, has a strong desire to do research. It will prove useful for the researchers doing such comparative research.
Apart from this, it will also be useful as a reference book and as a text book in evaluating the interactions of Hindi-Telugu languages to study Hindi-Telugu comparative literature.
Apart from this, it will also be useful as a reference book for Telugu-Hindi researchers doing research in the field of translation and research related to translation. Because in this, along with the introduction of the works of the original creators of Telugu, as well as the translation work of translators from Telugu to Hindi translation work and translators will be introduced.
This will give detailed information about the translated and original works of the research scholars and in doing research, they will be sure to get their reference texts easily. Therefore, from this point of view, this work will prove to be important for the Telugu speaking Hindi teachers and researchers also. By working in this direction, comparative study and the process of translation will be encouraged in Hindi and Telugu. That would be the significance of this project.
