Course Learning Objective

  1. Convert a given real world context into a linear programming problem.
  2. Apply the graphical and simplex methods to a given LPP.
  3. Analyze the optimal solution.
  4. Evaluate the various methods of solving LPPs and carry out post-optimality analysis.
  5. Model assignment and transportation problems.
  6. Interpret the optimal solutions of linear programming, assignment and transportation problems.
  7. Discuss the convexity of a function and find an optimal solution of a convex function.
