The School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad, proposes to start a Centre for Foreign Languages. It is proposed to begin with the teaching of Five Languages in the first instance with more to be added later. These are Japanese, French, Spanish, Arabic and Russian.
A study of Foreign Languages through the establishment of a Centre for Foreign Languages in the University will enrich the academic profile of the School of Humanities. It will provide vital inputs in the School's commitment to the promotion of the study of languages and also enable interaction between Departments in the School of Humanities for the mutual benefit of all concerned.
