The COMPUTER CENTRE was established in 1985, as a central facility to facilitate, foster and support the essential teaching and research goals of University of Hyderabad through the deployment and delivery of computing services to the University’s faculty, students, officers and staff.

In 1992, COMPUTER CENTRE through a link with NCST, Mumbai, started providing communication services like: E-Mail and Internet access. Various value based services were made accessible to users through Campus wide Thick/Thin Ethernet backbone network.

Computer Center currently provides a 24 x 7 service with 68 Mbps (1:1) internet leased line access for teaching and research needs of the university.
